The Client: The popular British-based Accessorize outfits women and girls with a colorful, globally sourced array of fun and original accessories. These unique shops and their online store display handbags, scarves, jewelry, hair accessories, footwear, beachwear, intimates, cosmetics and lifestyle gifts appealing to fashion-forward women. With over 500 stores in 50 countries, Accessorize called upon Zamparelli Architectural Group to handle their U.S. expansion program.
The Project: ZAG began working with the U.K. prototype and brand, and took on the challenge of adapting it to U.S. standards and building codes while simultaneously rolling out multiple projects throughout the U.S. The project required logistics and coordination to open all of the stores on time and on budget, as well as to navigate approvals from landmarks preservation commissions and historical agencies in selected locations. ZAG handled the entire prototype roll-out including interior design, creating all construction documents, administering contracts, representing the client, managing multiple projects on location, expediting building department approvals, and managing the outsourcing of all required vendors.
